Midnight Volunteering

Categories: Public News

Several members and their family members volunteered at the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank’s Operation Orange 24-hour volunteer event on Friday, September 7. During our two hour shift (yes, we really were there for the midnight shift!), our station bagged 4,750 pounds of apples! As a result of the 24 hours of volunteering by over a hundred energized people per shift, we learned that the total number of meals that will be provided to the Foodbank’s partners is nearly 143,000!
