Salvation Army of Alliance Angel Kids

Categories: Member News,Public News

For this holiday season, we are helping out The Salvation Army of Alliance with their Angel Kids program. Typically they put up a holiday tree in Walmart and the malls to distribute Angel Tags. The tags have the items and gift ideas for a child in need. This year, they have over 1,000 kids that deserve an Angel Gift this season, over 400 more than last year, mostly due to the impacts of COVID. And, because of COVID, Walmart and the malls are not letting them put up a tree to distribute the tags. JLSC has adopted 20 children to provide clothing and a toy to help raise their spirits this holiday season.

If you know anyone that would be interested in adopting any children in need for this Angel Kids program, please contact Beth Yoak at byoak8@gmail.com or 614-506-5998. A tag can be dropped off to your doorstep. The gifts must be dropped off to Beth or Captain Budd at the Salvation Army by December 18th.

The Salvation Army of Alliance is also providing food boxes for each of these families to provide them with a holiday meal. We will be packing the meal boxes on Tuesday, December 15th at 6pm. If you are interested in volunteering to help us pack the food boxes, please contact Beth Yoak at byoak8@gmail.com or 614-506-5998.

We will also be helping to distribute the food boxes and Angel Gifts to the families in need on December 21st from 9am-3pm. If you are interested in helping distribute the items, please contact Beth Yoak at byoak8@gmail.com or 614-506-5998.
