women-of-the-year

Do you know an outstanding woman volunteer in our community? Each year, The Junior League of Stark County, Ohio, Inc. invites nominations for its annual Women of the Year Awards. This is an event held each spring to honor deserving women who have made outstanding volunteer contributions to the Stark County community. We are currently seeking nominations for the 72nd annual Women of the Year Awards, to be presented at a special luncheon on May 9, 2019 at Kent State University at Stark. We encourage you to submit the name of a volunteer whom you or your organization feels has contributed to the betterment of Stark County through her volunteer efforts. There are two award categories:

*Community Award– This award is presented to a woman who has made significant, unique and lasting volunteer contributions in many parts of the greater Stark County community and has acted as a role model of achievement for other women.
*President’s Award– This award is presented to a woman who has made significant, unique and lasting volunteer contributions in one area of the greater Stark County community and has acted as a role model of achievement for other women.

The award recipients are chosen by a panel of community leaders and past award recipients. This year’s winners will join an elite group of women who have made a lasting impact on our community.

Please complete each section in the following nomination form: 2018-2019 WOY Nomination. The deadline for entries including supporting materials is Friday, November 16, 2018.
