Since 1947, Junior League of Stark County has been shining a spotlight on women in our community – the difference makers, leaders and heroes – who have shared their time, talent and resources to help the underserved, improve our communities and inspire other women to achieve their greatest potential.
Do you know of an extraordinary and inspirational woman in our community? The Junior League of Stark County is currently accepting nominations for our 73rd annual Women of the Year Awards. This is an annual event held each spring to honor deserving women who have made outstanding volunteer contributions to the Stark County community.
The award recipients are chosen by a panel of community leaders and past award recipients. This year’s winners will join an elite group of women who have made a lasting impact on our community.
*Community Award– This award is presented to a woman who has made significant, unique and lasting volunteer contributions in many parts of the greater Stark County community and has acted as a role model of achievement for other women.
*President’s Award– This award is presented to a woman who has made significant, unique and lasting volunteer contributions in one area of the greater Stark County community and has acted as a role model of achievement for other women.
We sincerely hope that you will consider an outstanding woman in your organization or life. Nomination forms are available here and by contacting the Junior League office at 330-491-4552. Previous winners and elected officials are not eligible to be nominated. A summary of past recipients include here. The application deadline has passed for this year.
