The Little Black Dress Initiative (LBDI) is a social media awareness and fundraising campaign employed by many Junior Leagues around the world.  The Junior League of Stark County (JLSC) is participating in this initiative for the first time from December 7-11th, 2020.  Participants will wear a black dress or black outfit, as they are able, for five consecutive days (Mon – Fri) as a visible symbol of participation and to start conversation and raise awareness about food insecurity in Stark County.  Participants will also solicit funds or supplies for projects aligned with our impact area: food insecurity.  With over 14% of the Stark County population living with food insecurity, it is critical that we strive to serve those in need.
Thank you to all of our League members that participated and to everyone that made donations to JLSC or purchased items from our Amazon wishlist to provide meal kits and safety bags for a project with Pregnancy Choices!
